A unique holiday shopping tradition, Porter Flea’s holiday market returns in December 2014 for a fourth annual wintertime gathering of the area’s most talented designers and makers, who’ll share handmade gifts spanning from apparel and accessories to prints, paper goods and furniture.

This year’s holiday market will again run over two days at the Track One Building at 4th and Chestnut, starting Friday, Dec. 5 from 6-9 p.m. with the Porter Flea Preview Market, a ticketed Flea Eve that gives attendees early access to handmade wares and the opportunity to meet with vendors in a more intimate setting.

The full, free Holiday Flea runs 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, with open access to more than 100 talented, jury-picked vendors, thousands of one-of-a-kind gifts, a collection of the city’s finest food trucks and the return of the Porter Pantry, an artisan food market stocked with packaged goods from local millers, makers and bakers.

A new contribution to the vendor experience at this year’s Porter Flea holiday market: a sponsorship from revered online makers marketplace Etsy, who’ll be on site offering special treats and valuable guidance and feedback. The partnership allows Porter Flea to better accomplish part of its core mission: offering more to vendors, in order to offer more for shoppers.

First organized in July, 2011, by Jessica Maloan, Brent Elrod, and Katie Vance, Porter Flea was named Best Artisan Market by the Nashville Scene in 2012 and has earned additional praise from Forbes Travel Guide, The City Paper, Southern Living, NATIVE, The Nashville Ledger, The Murfreesboro Post, StyleBlueprint, Etsy, and several local bloggers.
