His bold plywood carvings of pop culture, music and of course Starwars icons are hand printed onto brightly colored papers and on display at this new Bywater shop. Julie Belcher shares a letterpress printmaking background and is showing some new mixed media paintings which layer her linocut prints with encaustic beeswax, tissue paper drawings and incised lines on wood. Both artists have a great collaborative history in printmaking & showing work in Louisiana - Sean as a former LSU student and New Orleans resident and Julie as a current resident and long time Contemporary Crafts artist at Jazz Fest. She is one of the partners at Anchor & Arrow which specializes in premiere vintage clothing with an art space for unique events, it opened in December, 2018.
